At Home Running with your virtual NYC trainer
Here to Help you Have Fun Running
Sometimes it is not possible for us to get outside. Early sunsets may discourage you from leaving the house to brave the dark. Weather conditions, a less walkable neighborhood or a pandemic can also impact how, when and where we train. However, this doesn't mean we have to stop the fun! With a treadmill and the right coaching, we can still develop a plan that keeps your running routine engaging and enjoyable. Whether you are training for your first 5k, or your latest marathon, let's work together to create the optimal treadmill routine for as little as $90/month
Build your Confidence with Indoor Training
If you're new to the running world, going outside for a run may feel daunting. There is a certain self-consciousness that can come with trying something new in a public place. However, working with a coach can help alleviate some of that discomfort. As can starting off with at-home running. Set your goals and your pace in a safe, familiar environment. This will help you build up to future outdoor runs and races.
The Upside of Treadmill Training
Treadmill training isn't just something we do when outside is not an option. It can, in fact, provide many advantages. For instance, setting your treadmill for a tempo run means taking some of the mental work out of running. Instead of having to watch your tempo, the treadmill settings do the work for you, allowing you to simply focus on enjoying your run. By setting the controls in advance of your run, the treadmill also prevents you from overtaxing your legs, as runners sometimes push too hard on that last outdoor mile.
Another great advantage of running on the treadmill is circumventing the limits of geography. You may not be able to train in the hills of Colorado, but you can still simulate it. Don't think you can't sign up to run a particular terrain just because it doesn't match the landscape outside your window. With the right settings and coaching, we can help you prepare for flat, hilly, rugged or urban terrain from the comfort of your home or gym.
Lastly, running indoors allows you to train under the same conditions everyday, so you can focus on building towards specific strengths and goals, without distraction. Many professional athletes train for outdoor races partly--or even fully--indoors. With the right coaching, you can as well.
